Korean BBQ Yum Yum Rice Bowls
Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 6 oz. top sirloin steak
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4-inch piece ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
For the Rice Bowl:
- 1/2 cup rice, cooked
- 2 tablespoons kimchi
- 1 soft-cooked egg (poached or fried)
- Kelchner's Yum Yum Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon scallions, chopped
Directions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic. 2. Cut steak into bite-sized strips and place in a bowl. Pour homemade marinade over steak pieces. Let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.3. Cook rice as directed on package.4. Heat skillet on high heat. Remove steak from marinade and sear it on skillet, flipping occasionally, until golden-brown crust forms. Set aside.5. Once steak is cooked to desired doneness, assemble bowl by layering cooked rice, kimchi, and steak. Top with soft-cooked egg and a generous drizzle of Kelchner's Yum Yum Sauce.
