Seafood Boil Chowder

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup celery finely diced
  • 1 cup yellow onion finely diced
  • 1 cup carrots finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons garlic finely diced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bottle Kelchner's Seafood Boil Marinade and Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 5 red potatoes cut into small cubes
  • 1 bag corn
  • 1 pound shrimp uncooked, peeled, de veined
  • 2 pounds white fish cut into small pieces
  • 1 quart half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. In a large pot on medium heat melt butter and add celery, onion and carrots. Cook until onion are just starting to soften. Add garlic and cook an additional 3 minutes

2. Add chicken broth, Kelchner's Seafood Boil Marinade and Sauce, and hot sauce. Bring to a boil

3. Add potatoes and corn. Cook until potatoes become fork tender 8-10 minutes

4. Add shrimp and white fish cook an additional 7 minutes or until shrimp turns pink

5. Add half and half, combine flour and milk and stir until flour is dissolved

6. Slowly stir milk and flour mixture into the chowder until desired thickness. If chowder becomes too thick thin out with additional chicken broth.
